1 - Problem to Pitch Space Challenge

This module is designed to engage students in project-based learning through the lens of space exploration and technology, aligned with the United Nations Space Development Goals (SDGs). Through hands-on challenges related to space debris, rocket design, building habitats on Mars, and terraforming the Moon, students will tackle real-world problems linked to both Earth and space sustainability. Grounded in Design Thinking, students will learn to creatively solve problems by working through the five key stages: Empathy, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Each challenge aligns with a Space4SDG challenge, encouraging students to connect space innovation with global sustainability, equipping them with the tools and mindset needed to address some of humanity’s most pressing issues, both here on Earth and in space. Visit Space4SDGs P2P Challenges micro-module to access the 17 challenges.
